This is the final track on the album, set against the scene in 2024 with Judy now 77 lying in her bed at the Watford Peace Hospice. In the days when singles were released this song would have been part of a double A side single with the first track from the album: Explain.
It is 4pm and Judy’s granddaughter, Patsy, has returned to sit with her dying grandma. She sits nervously wondering what it is her grandma wants to tell her that is so important to reveal. After nearly four hours of struggling to tell her story to Patsy, Judy becomes weaker, gasping she takes her last breath.
Patsy sat for a moment in stunned silence. Shocked at realisation that her beloved grandma, mentor, sometimes mum but always her best friend had just passed away. Bewildered as she tried to take in the story she had just been told, Patsy runs from the room.
Tears streaming down her face she runs down the corridor out into the car park and sees her boyfriend crossing the car park. The story she has just been told leaves her with an impossible dilemma about the boy she loves.
